Student research assistant in neuroepidemiology

The candidate will be engaged in research focusing on neuro-degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s Disease as well as other age-related traits with Dr. Giuseppe Tosto. The faculty members of the genetic epidemiology group at the Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center are engaged in research focusing on gene mapping, functional genetics, and translational studies. Responsibilities:

  • Develop, characterize and optimize bioinformatics tools to analyze high-throughput genomic and multi-omics data (e.g. genome-wide association studies, whole exome/genome/RNA sequencing data etc.)
  • Duties will include designing and performing experiments, data analysis and interpretation, as well as writing of manuscripts.
